Season 5, Episode 4 Transcript

Chase: Hey its CS Joseph with CSJoseph.Life, and today we’re doing our next video on cognitive synchronicity between the cognitive functions. Today’s functions: we’ll be looking at the feeling functions, morals ,and ethics; and how they relate together, how they synchronize, how they’re compatible with each other, and why people should be in relationships with those kinds of people. So with that, we have the usual trusty whiteboard from Target because who doesn’t shop at Target, right? Anyway, so we have introverted feeling also known as morals. We have extraverted feeling, also known as ethics. Uh, that. So what’s the difference between morals and ethics? Uh, let’s just, um, let’s just take a stab at everyone. Maybe that’ll piss them off, I don’t know, but let’s talk about abortion, right? So abortion is ethical because the collective believes that it is a good thing, right? So that is why it is ethical.

Chase: When the collective believes something is a bad thing, uh, that is unethical, right? But when an individual believes something is a bad thing, that’s what you call immoral. So an individual may find that abortion is amoral, right, immoral. Uh, and if an individual believes that is a good thing, they believe it is moral and that’s essentially the difference between morals and ethics. So morals are always attached to rationale because people’s sense of self worth is introverted feeling and the thoughts of other people like their status with society or their community, whatnot, influences their sense of self worth and how they feel about themselves. Logic is attached to ethics. Um, so people have logical thoughts and then people have emotional reactions to those logical thoughts. I think that as you feel that, kind of like those people complaining about me having no idea what introverted intuition is compared to extravert intuition and they complain about it often in many of my video comments. Like, for example, someone saying, “Oh, hey, introverted intuition is, uh, allows you to see into other people’s futures.”

Chase: And I’m like, “No, it doesn’t, it just, it’s your desire to willpower.” It’s what you want. It’s like your personal future. Everyone else’s future is actually attached to extraverted intuition because it’s like you’re able to read fate, you know, the fates of others the futures of others. But yeah, whatever, that’s another discussion for another day. But logic is attached to extraverted feeling, also known as ethics. Um, I think, you feel. I feel this way, people think differently about it. Oh, you think that, well, this is how I feel about what you think. This is how I feel about what the truth is, right? Um, I think this is the truth. And then you feel bad about that? Not My problem. That’s yours. That’s kind of how it comes out in our sentences. And remember, these functions are linked on these cognitive axes. So let’s talk about introverted feeling.

Chase: Morals. Morals is super important, especially to artists, dreamers, entertainers, um, uh, advocates. So ISFPs, INFPs, ESFPs, ENFPs, respectively, like, they have Fei hero and parent. It’s also important to Fi child’s types, which is INTJ, ISTJs, and Fi inferior types, which is ESTJ, ENTJ. So that’s literally eight of the types are what I call Fi users. Moral people, people with what, what we would call a moral compass. That’s introverted feeling, right? And they are sources of introverted feeling. So imagine if there’s a room full of just Fe users, logical Fe users. This could be ISTPs, INTPs, ENTPs, ESTPs, uh, as well as INFJs, ISFJs, ENFJs, and ESFJs; the other half of the types, the Fe users basically, and they’re all in a room talking to each other and there’s no Fi users.

Chase: Well, all of a sudden one INTJ or one ISTJ walks into the room and how that person feels is literally how the entire room starts to feel because all of the Fe users are locking on that introverted feeling, a function in that INTJ that just walked into the room. Right? So because introverted feeling is a source, it is a source of morality and Fe users like feeling vampires basically absorbed that, the feeling of other people around them and then they are able to behave ethically because they are using the moral standard or the moral compass of the person in the room as a source. It gets even more complicated when there’s multiple Fi users because then Fe users can actually make a preference as to how they would behave based on, you know, who they think is a more moral person or whatever their preferences is at the time or whatever additional like a judgments they have.

Chase: Right. So remember, introverted feeling is always the source of feeling. An extravert feeling is trying to find that source and consume that source. Trying to absorb that source like, like a, like a vampire, you know. So it’s Iike literally pac man, right, Fe is pac man and I’m going to eat that Fi. I just want to have that Fi as much as possible. So when you’re in a relationship with somebody and you’re an Fe user, you want to be in a relationship with an Fi user because when you both are making decisions so you can constantly ask your Fi user partner, “Hey, how do you feel about this?” Right? You know, if you have two Fe users in a relationship its going to create an Fe loop and both of you are looking for good or bad judgments at the same time. And then no one can answer the question that leads to conflict and it leads to chaos. Good luck, right?

Chase: It’s really frustrating. Or when there’s two Fi users and they have, and both of them have their own moral standard and it gets to a point where they’re accusing the other person of being immoral because they’re not moral enough, right? That can happen. So when you have two Fi users in a relationship, so it is recommended to have one person be an Fi user, and one person be the Fe user so the Fe user can seek to make the Fi user feel better, right? That’s the whole point of this synchronicity, this compatibility, and you get compatibility by having one person in an intimate relationship being an Fi user and the other one being Fe. So let’s look at some actual examples of this. So I have actually put, decided to do two different, uh, relationships, um, for this model, uh, with introverted feeling extraverted feeling. The reason is, is because of just how I think.

Chase: I think introvert, like feeling is very important. you have a lot of people that are mistyped nowadays because they just don’t understand that dynamics of feeling and how it works because they don’t know the difference between morals and ethics. A lot of people think they’re the same, but no, the external value judgment, the external good/bad judgment is ethics. That’s extraverted feeling. The internal value judgment, good or bad, that’s introverted feeling, right? So you have an ISFJ, right? They’re an extraverted feeler because in their top four functions they have Fe parent, right? And Fe parent is trying to absorb or consume Fi users, if you were to put an ISFJ with an ENTP, right? That’s known as a dualist, uh, um, they’re polar opposites, right? But according to socionics they’re a dualist relationship and according to socionics that’s the highest compatibility. They’re full of crap.

Chase: Actually, that is completely wrong. Why? Because this Fe parent is trying to go all the way down here to eat that Fi trickster. Okay? That’s a lot of mental energy. And then the ISFJ ends up feeling like the ENTP is immoral, which is technically true because ENTPs lack morality because they have Fi trickster. I would know, I am one, right? So the only way that I can behave morals if I’m around moral people. Huh? Wonder how that works? Anyway, so Fe parent of the ISFJ needs to have Fi available in the top four slots somewhere in terms of compatibility, in order for it to have a really good relationship with the person. So ideally that would be either directly across parent to parent or parent to hero. Uh, it’s not good enough to have parent to child because it’s a parent and its a child and then, like, “Your child is with your morals,” the ISFJ would say, right?

Chase: And that’s not really good for a relationship. So I don’t recommend that, uh, it’s always best to have directly across or to have one above, um, because at least the Fe parent can respect the hero because the hero is strong. Good luck getting that respect for like a child. And especially if its a male-female relationship where love and respect is, is important to the relationship. And there’s another video about that on my channel somewhere. Uh, yeah, that relationship’s going to fail. Not going to work. “Oh, but I’ve been in a relationship with someone that way. It’s been working out just fine.” I’m like, “Yeah, you can have that if you’re mature and you’re willing to spend that additional extra energy, even though internally you’re judging them for being childish with their moral behavior.” Right? So how is that going to go? You know what I mean?

Chase: I, I don’t recommend it. So remember, it is important that the Fi that is available to Fe is very close, you know, across, you know. So here’s another version. This is the ENFJ and the INFP; Fi hero, Fe hero. And it’s directly across, super easy downhill slope. No problem, you know, super high compatibility because it’s like, “Wow, I could just immediately reach across the water and there’s that Fi I’m looking for.” And then the INFP feels great because the Fe of the ENFJ is making them feel good. You know, and uh, and uh, and then they get a good experience and then they know what the ENFJ wants and it’s trying to give the ENFJ what they want. And the ENFJ ends up thinking highly of the INFP, which makes the INFP because it’s linked to Fi, even feel even more, feel better about themselves and feel valued et cetera.

Chase: That is ideal compatibility. This relationship, ENFJ/INFP, is ideal for the both of the two. That’s because everything is directly across, right? So an Fe is directly across from Fi because Fe is trying to consume the source function, the introverted function Fi, that’s what it wants. It wants moral behavior. ENFJs want to be paired up with the most moral people. Right? And people that react to react with their Si, react to the Se child given the experience of the Si child. Right? That’s how compatibility works. So anyway, this is [a], that basically concludes the synchronicity of the compatibility of the feeling functions. Um, Fe and Fi and Fe is just trying to consume or find the Fi and it wants to be around moral people; and wants to be moral people around moral people that are similar to them in that capacity. So directly across or like one above, for example, is ideal.

Chase: It doesn’t always happen. But again, uh, from that, from a human nature standpoint, you want to have that synchronicity. You want to have that compatibility, uh, although you can compensate with it with human nurture, um, which we have a series on a playlist on all of my human nurture videos, so you can kind of see how you can optimize your relationship from the nurture side as well. So anyway, if you found that video to be educational, helpful ,and whatnot, please leave a like and subscribe to the channel, that would be dope. And, uh, if you have any questions about extraverted feeling, introverted feeling, or the synchronicity or the compatibility of the two functions, please leave them in the comments section. And I will answer your question. I am going out of my way to make sure that every comment is at least read by me. Uh, and I do my best to answer your questions. If you guys have any video requests, I am recording every request you make and I will make sure that I get a video out for it right away. So other than that, I got plenty more videos planned for today, so I’ll see you guys tonight.
